First Thursdays in Oak Cliff

Join me and my friends next Thursday at the Soda Gallery for the opening reception of "Return of the Bombshell" a photo tribute to the pin up and burlesque revival. The show features photography from G3, Through the Looking Glass and Naked Lens. And, there will even be a picture or two of me in the show!

I'll also be there doing another FREE session of Dr. Sketchy's, which you don't want to miss. But really, you don't want to miss the next real session with Black Mariah...but I'll tell you about that later. ;)

If You're Sketchy and You Know it...

I hope to see y'all out at the Soda Gallery (408 North Bishop Avenue) in the Bishop Arts District in Oak Cliff tomorrow evening for a FREE session of Dr. Sketchy's. And don't forget that the real session is this Saturday featuring the adorably rough and tough ladies of the Assassination Roller Derby.

Good Times!

Dallas Burlesque Festival

Man. I had a pretty busy weekend. We're moving soon which is always draining, and last weekend was completely full.

On Friday, my sweetheart surprised me with tickets to see the Ballets Trockadero Des Monte Carlo. I laughed so hard I cried!

Saturday of course was Dr. Sketchy's and The Dallas Burlesque Festival. I know you all are dying for pics (as am I!), but I just have a few for now.

From Dr. Sketchy's:

Ok, here's my favorite! I've known this kid since grade school, he is my brother-from-another-mother and our mom's are besties too. So is it weird that I let him wear my pasties?

Dallas Burlesque Festival:
Okay, so I don't have many pictures yet, but there will be tons flooding the Internet soon. Here's one shot of my performance.

New Beginnings

No matter how long it's been since I kept an academic calender, I can't help but feel like autumn is the beginning of a new year. So now that I've perked up a bit from the long summer, I'm finally ready to jump on the bandwagon and give this whole blog thing a shot.

To start, I want to thank my very good friends Lisa Lindholm and J
ohnny Hardy for asking me to pose for the first session of Dr. Sketchy's Dallas. It was thrilling, scary and physically challenging all at the same time. I loved every second. I will have pictures soon, and I will let you know about the next session when I have more information.

In the meantime, here are some pictures taken by Hal Samples at his studio, SPACE right before I posed for Dr. Sketchy's. I'm crazy about that bike.
